MEET JOSH SHINO

Josh Shino has grown up around horses, and is part of the third generation of the McDonald family that has been a major supporter and follower of the Arabian horse. Josh grew up riding and learning from his mom, Carolyn McDonald and showed all throughout his youth career in many disciplines. After graduating high school, Josh knew that he wanted his life to be surrounded by horses, so he took a job at Stachowski Farm in San Marcos, California. Josh worked at the farm in California for about two years and then transitioned into the Stachowski Farms Mantua Ohio location. Josh spent another two years in Ohio teaching amatuers, and training and showing on the National level. As Josh was working at the farm in Ohio he garnered his first US National Champion and Reserve Champion. Later then he decided to move back home to Scottsdale Arizona which led him to starting his own business as Shino Training Center. They now specialize in training youth and amateur riders, starting young horses, and training and showing on the National level.

Shino Training Center is lucky to have two trainers who have competed at the National level since they can remember, and have already brought many horses and amateur riders to compete and succeed at all ranges of shows. We take pride in building the trust between the horse and rider to feel confident to compete at all levels.

LESSONS

My Horse Behavior Training work involves an intimate understanding of your animal’s natural and individual history. Your pet has plenty of potential to learn and understand commands, and my techniques will lay the foundation for you to build upon. I combine your needs and wants with the natural attributes of your pet.
